In the distant past, Azareth, a renegade knight, was responsible for severing the ties between dragons and humans. Azareth was branded a sinner by the people of the land, and so were all those who followed him. Humans haven't trusted dragons or anything else outside their village boundaries for 100 years now. "Inimaki" has been banned since then as part of an effort to control humans. Rogies were villagers who had either fled or used inimaki as a weapon.
