As part of the NFT Space, Nomon Labs is unveiling the first decentralized and entirely blockchain-based timepieces with an initial collection of six different designs. The timestamp of the construction of each new block is used by Nomon Watches to determine the current time. Thus, the blockchain is all that is required for it to operate! The issue of centralization was creatively addressed by our team of developers. For now, there isn't a completely decentralized wristwatch due to a number of significant difficulties.

If you want a watch to display local time, how do you build it such that it doesn't have to take time from somewhere centrally located? Dynamic NFTs provide the answer!

NFT watches now on the market with comparable functions are not genuinely blockchain-based, but rather employ an NFT to show a website where the watch is operating. This is why NFTs are the only blockchain functionality that they have.

What distinguishes Nomon timepieces from the rest? Because of dynamic NFTs, the watch code and logic for Nomon Watches are entirely decentralized and stored on the blockchain. Because our watches use the timestamp of each new block and display an individual frame of the watch for each minute of the day, they don't rely on any one entity, platform, or device to show the current time. Unlike other projects that claim to be decentralized, our frames are kept in IPFs, not on our website or on our local server.

2. Use the Nomon App to see your NFT on your wristwatch or smartphone.

3. Your completely decentralized watch may be shown on your wristwatch or mobile device, so you can always know the time.

*As a disclaimer, Nomon NFTs do not, by itself, display the UTC-0 (Universal time zone). It doesn't matter what time zone you're in, as long as you have our app and display your NFT there. The same way you see it on our website!
